Joe, a young Belgian with Arab roots, is about to turn eighteen years of age and begin his adult life, away from the youth correctional facility that has housed him for a number of years. Joe longs for independence and often escapes from the facility to simply explore the outside world but has been told he must be patient and on his best behaviour if he is to avoid prison. When the quiet, tattooed and troubled William arrives at the facility, an instant attraction sparks between them but physical contact between inmates is forbidden. Joe must navigate this newfound passion whilst also attempting to stay out of trouble in a world full of prejudice and injustice. 'The Lost Boys' is a tender coming-of-age drama with themes around community, connection, and friendship.
