This family movie is so much fun to watch, especially if you like silly slapstick comedies, then this is for you! This is Disney's live action story about a man called George (Brendan Fraser) who has been raised in the jungle by apes from a baby and doesn't know anything about life outside the jungle. That is until he meets Ursula (Leslie Mann) who wants to study apes, so she goes to the jungle. Ursula meets George when he rescues her from a lion. There are lots of other animals in the film too, birds, snakes, monkeys and an elephant that acts like a pet dog! How do you play fetch with an elephant?
Ursula takes George back to the city where they have all sorts of adventures. This film has lots of running jokes and takes the mickey out of other films which is what makes it so funny. The actors often look directly at the camera audience as if you are in on the joke, which I like. The biggest joke is that George crashes into trees, rocks, cars, walls, large bridges, almost anything, you get the idea! This can be a little annoying by the end which is why I give this 4 out of 5 stars but overall, its a very good and entertaining film. If you want to watch something that will make you laugh, then this is the film for you. Directed by Sam Weisman
