Mulan II was an another fantastic movie as well as the first but I still wish I could have saw more of her bravery in the second film. In my own opinion I believe that the first movie was much more action-packed and had more comedy. Overall it was an excellent Disney animated film and I would definitely recommend this movie because it is very inspiring. When Mulan, accepts General Shang's marriage proposal, her guardian, Mushu fears that he will lose his place in her life as she is accepted into Shang's family. Meanwhile, the Emperor asks Mulan and her fiancé to accompany three princesses to meet their future spouses in a distant territory. During the course of their dangerous journey through China, Mushu attempts to break up the young couple, and unlikely relationships flourish.
My favourite part of the movie was when Mulan who didn't want the princesses to be forced into a loveless marriage she offered herself to be married to one of the ruler's sons. In my opinion, this was very generous of her because not many people are as considerate and deliberate as her. Mulan is a courageous, self-reliant, independent, determined as well as adventurous. This always helps her when it comes to adventures and missions. Mulan is a role model for me because she has taught me to never give up and to stand up for what I believe in. It might be hard at first, but it all works out in the end never be afraid to be yourself. Mulan is a very inspiring model for younger children who are having trouble to stand up for what they believe in. Everyone is entitled to stand up for what they believe in.
The part I disliked the most was when they were being attacked by the bandits because they were travelling through bandit country. Whilst saving the princesses, the bridge Mulan and Shang are standing on breaks leaving the two dangling off a loose rope. Realising that the rope can only hold the weight of one person, Shang sacrificed his life to protect Mulan, and allows himself to fall into the river. I felt absolutely awful at this moment because I felt tears slowly sliding down my pale face. Shang's death was a huge shock to me because it was so dramatic. I don't like watching people sacrificing themselves or dying because it just makes me feel very emotional it does show an act of bravery but I believe it isn't appropriate for youngsters watching this movie death should be removed from Disney movies.
To conclude, Mulan II is a very inspiring movie and has a very unforgettable moral which will always be stuck in your head playing over and over again like a song repeating itself so many times. Put others first instead of yourself. I loved Mulan II even though it wasn't as brilliant as the first it was still memorable remember do what you think is right and others will thank you for it in the end. Helping friends in need is important it shows kindness and respect towards your friends. Watch this film and understand that friendship is the most powerful thingin the world which cannot be replaced. Love is amazing to experience even if it is your first time.
Hope you enjoyed my review! My younger sister Harkiran has just recently began Film Club and I wish her the very best of luck when it comes to writing reviews. I am 100% sure she will be just as good as me! Well done Harkiran!
