Synopsis

The thrills and spills of martial arts have been inspiring movies for years. But now there's a new hero high-kicking his way onto the big-screen - a giant panda by the name of Po! Not that he's what you might call a natural - he's a little on the tubby side, and far from graceful with it, which means that his dreams of kung fu glory don't look too likely to come true. But when the wise and ancient tortoise Master Oogway unexpectedly chooses him to defend the Valley of Peace from an evil snow leopard, it gives Po his big chance. Highly enjoyable and with heartwarming message about being true to yourself, this film will delight all ages.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
