The Hunger Games: Mockingly, Part 1 is a science fiction and fantasy film directed by Francis Lawrence. It stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss (she is basically the only person in this film, they should have just named the movie the Jennifer Lawrence Show), Liam Hemsworth as Gale and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta (for about five minutes of the movie.)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 is a film about Katniss Everdeen starting to become the Mockingjay she wants to be. While she keeps asking them to go get Peeta (literally that’s all her motivation is in the movie.) Then she starts to learn of the rising rebellion and how Panem isn’t all that she thought it was, through the messages District 13 and Panem send to each other. (I feel like I’m being a little harsh but that is literally what happens.)
I gave this film 1/5 because it was so boring like Katniss has hardly any motivation. Gets injured more times than she did in the actual games, which were far more dangerous. Literally if you’ve read the book this film is based off it’s as boring as that, not that the first two books aren’t good. Basically, this is just a filler movie for the next one, which wasn’t that exciting either.
I’m sure that Katniss in this movie was just here to make everyone annoyed, seeing as she just moans over everything. As Jennifer Lawrence tries to act tough in this movie but we all know that she was just paid to cry throughout this whole movie. So I would definitely just read the plot on Wikipedia because it will save you 2 hours of nothingness.
