ONE THING I DO NOT LIKE IS THIS TYPE OF COMEDY. The kind when the film-producers think that viewers find people’s problems funny. Some may love this film, love the problems that these poor campers face. I am not one of those people, therefore I found it more horrible and disgusting. The worst part is when the man, Bob (Robin Williams) gets covered in sewage from the RV toilet. Personally, I found this a bit too disgusting. Overall it was all right, I just hate that sort of comedy. I did smile when I saw how many wonderful actors there are in the entire film, such as Josh Hutcherson, Robin Williams and Jeff Daniels. Perhaps my favourite character was Cassy, as I quite enjoyed seeing the transformation of a 5 year old girl turning into a teenager. It’s quite touching to see her grow apart from her dad and then mend the relationship. My favourite part (very hard), maybe is the part when the two families (oldest and middle) children fall in love, I didn’t laugh but it was slightly amusing. The story tells of a family that were planning to go to Hawaii, but the Father has some business that clashes with the trip. Therefore he must disguise the journey to where the meeting will take place into a camping trip. But he faces a few problems on the way. He must learn how to drive properly, solve sewage blockage, avoid annoying neighbours and learn how to reconnect with his family. It turns out that the annoying people are actually rescuers and are kind people. His daughter learns to love, his son learns to trust him and his wife believes in him. Hurray. I’ve never seen this before and I am glad I never did. It’s actually quite corny and cheesy and uses an array of clichéd jokes. We’ve all heard of a man being caked in sewage, now it’s time for something different and new. Plus I never laughed at the idea of someone being covered in toilet waste anyway. I hate this film, don’t buy it! Niamh.
