Directed by Gavin O'Connor, Warrior is an incredibly emotional film. It's about two brothers who seperated at a young age , one left with his Mum the other stayed with his younger brother. They both done MMA & Wrestling throughout education. After, one of them pursued a life in The Marines, the other became a Physics Teacher. When their pasts start to catch up with them they find themselves training for SPARTA a brand new once in a lifetime tournament. Tommy (Tom Hardy) Begins training with his Dad and Brendan (Joel Edgerton) trains at an old friends gym. Throughout the film more of their past is revealed and they find themselves fighting more than just a tournament. Whether you're a fighting fan or not this film is for everyone it is based purely on inspiration. SPARTA see's the 2 brothers face off in the ultimate clash of Love & Family! I've watched this film 1000 times before and I plan to watch it another 1000, everytime I watch it it feels like the first time. The story behind The brothers and their Father is very powerful and to quote the review of Shortlist/The tagline of the film it's "All the Rockys rolled into one". A phrase I've begin to live by is the tagline of the gym Brendan trains at "Soul of A Lion". Warrior can only be described as a Heartbreaking Action packed Inspirational film. I'd Recommend it to anyone even if you find fighting a silly pointless thing, look passed that and be taken in by the intense story of 2 brothers "fighting" for their lives!
