We have all been requested to do something that we didn't want to do, experienced a love one dying or heard of someone who has died as a result of cancer however this film takes a different approach to these subject matters. Directed Nick Cassavetes, My sister's Keeper tells the story of Anna a girl who was born as a donor match for her older sister Kate, who has leukemia. For the rest of her life, Anna will have to give organs in order to keep her sister alive. When her mother (Cameron Diaz) tells Anna that she has to give her kidney, Anna takes action and seeks emancipation to be able to control her own body. The film tells of the struggle for control, a mother's love and the realisation of the right time. With Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin taking leading roles, the film was guaranteed success right from the start. A true heartbreaker which comes with tears. Make sure you have tissues!! ♥♥♥
