One of the 20th century's most talented novelists, towards the end of her life Iris Murdoch began to lose her memory and her grip on language. This moving and brilliantly acted biopic jumps between Iris's heady student days to 40 years later, when she is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Not just a fascinating portrait of Murdoch, this film shows the tender and enduring relationship between the author and her husband, John Bayley, who nursed her throughout her illness.
Contains some strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.
