This early Aardman animation features the first-ever outing for the much-loved inventor Wallace and his dog Gromit. It’s a Bank Holiday and Wallace and Gromit are deciding where to go for a break. When Wallace discovers there is no more cheese in the fridge, and the shop is closed for the Bank Holiday, the only option is to take a holiday to the moon because ‘everybody knows the moon is made of cheese’. Building their own rocket, they head off into space looking forward to enjoying a yummy cheesy feast surrounded by the lovely lunar landscape, only to discover an angry oven robot who doesn’t approve of their picnic plans.
