Brit director Joe Wright has fun with genres in this adolescent hit-girl movie that's a surreal fairy tale, fast-paced actioner and coming-of-age thriller all rolled into one. Although only a teen, our heroine has the abilities of an adult soldier, having been raised alone in the wilds of Finland by her ex-CIA father, who wanted to produce the perfect assassin. But even all this meticulous training can't prepare Hanna for the events that follow, as Dad finally sends her into the world. Journeying across Europe, pursued by a ruthless female intelligence agent, the youngster’s every experience seems strange and overwhelming. These feelings magnify with dramatic consequences when she nears her ultimate target and makes disturbing discoveries about her existence.
This film contains moderate violence and one use of strong bad language.
