Synopsis

Sean Connery made his fourth outing as 007 with this hugely enjoyable, escapist adventure in which crime syndicate SPECTRE steals two nuclear warheads. This has all we've come to expect from the series: gadgets galore (including the iconic jet pack), over-the-top villains who kill people with sharks rather than simply shooting them, and a thumping theme song (courtesy of Tom Jones, who apparently nearly fainted from holding the end note for so long).

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
