Live-wire comedian Robin Williams became a film superstar through his performance as Adrian Cronauer, a maverick DJ who gets personally involved in the conflict of war, while bringing rock 'n' roll and some much needed light relief to American troops serving in the Vietnam War. Loosely based on the real experiences of Cronauer the film is consistently lively and funny as well as touching and emotive yet remains a perfect showcase for Williams' improvisational comedy.
The world of the 1970s newsreader is turned upside down as a female journalist applies for co-anchor role in this Irreverent slapstick comedy.
