Into Film is very proud to have been able to create Moving Minds 2: Building Resilience for Wellbeing, our second program of youth-made short films which explore themes surrounding mental health and wellbeing. Both Moving Minds projects to date were made possible with the funds raised at ICAP Charity Days.

This resources will enable learners and educators to:

  • Express ideas about mental health using the medium of film.

  • Engage with film and filmmaking with increased confidence in order to articulate ideas about what mental health means to them.

  •  Raise self-esteem by participating in engaging personal reflective activities in class or at home.

  • Work towards their own mental health goals in a personalised Mental Wellbeing Strategies Toolkit.

Learners can be guided by peers and filmmakers alike to make their own Moving Minds 2: Building Resilience for Wellbeing short film, no matter their skill level or equipment. This can be entered  into Into Film's Film of the Month Competition, which is open to all young people between the ages of 5 and 19.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.

What our educators say

"As an alternative provision for learners who are not in mainstream school we use your resources in a slightly different way as they generally find it hard to watch a full length film. They are, however fantastic. "
