Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
To celebrate the recent cinema release of Universal's Wicked, we launched a brand-new learning resource. Wicked Futures: Careers in Film is a curriculum-linked, careers-focused learning sequence for pupils aged 12-18, which uses the Oscar-nominated film to empower young people to unlock their unique powers.
As part of the resource, we ran a 'Marketing Wiz' competition, which asked young people to use their knowledge of social media to create an exciting post to help promote Wicked.
Congratulations to Caitlin Amy, aged 13, from St. Louis Grammar School in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, whose Instagram post included everything you could possibly hope to see on a promotional post for a new film. Her beautiful drawings were also vibrant and colourful and perfectly captured the look and feel of the film.
"I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to participate", said Caitlin Amy upon learning of her win. "I tried my best to incorporate the main themes of the movie and I'm so happy it was successful. Thank you to Into Film and my school for making this possible!"
Amy's entry was chosen as the winner from hundreds of entries, and she has won an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for herself, and a special private screening of Wicked for her whole class to enjoy at their nearest cinema.
Check out Amy's winning entry below.
We'd also like to give a special shout-out to our runners-up: Leah, aged 16, from St. John Rigby College in Wigan, and Winnie, aged 13, from Newminster Middle School in Morpeth, whose entries also impressed our judges with their mix of gorgeous artwork and well-considered use of slogans and taglines.
"The competition allowed me to indulge my creativity!", said Leah upon learning she was a runner-up. "I used water colour and acrylic paint to create the design, and all aspects, other than the characters, were from my imagination. I feel seen by my art and proud of myself!"
Leah and Winnie each win a Wicked merchandise bundle. Check out their entries below.

Download this free resource today to give learners a route to navigating the world of work, and insight into how experience and qualifications drive employability.
