We’ve partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to introduce Story Builder: Unscripted TV, a dynamic resource designed for Key Stage Three educators (or equivalent) and learners aged 11-14. This resource explores narrative development through the lens of television while highlighting exciting industry careers.
This engaging resource empowers learners to integrate subject knowledge into creating an unscripted TV pilot episode. Drawing inspiration from game shows, chat shows and Warner Bros. Discovery documentaries, lifestyle programmes, reality, motoring and food shows, students take on various roles in the TV industry.
Through this hands-on experience, learners develop ideas, craft narratives, problem-solve, evaluate, and present their work - all while exploring the exciting world of unscripted television.

This resource is for students in Key Stage 3 (or equivalent), aged 11-14.
Designed to combine career exploration and literacy development, this resource is adaptable to any curricular subject or topic. Each section focuses on a different stage of developing an unscripted TV episode, guiding learners through decision-making and creative activities. While the pack is tech-free, students can bring their plans to life by recording their pilot episodes if they have access to cameras or devices.
Imagine transforming a chemistry lesson on reactions into a cooking-style competition, analysing Animal Farm through a chat show with George Orwell, or turning a math topic into an exciting game show.
