To celebrate the recent cinema release of Studiocanal's Paddington in Peru, we launched a brand-new learning resource. Adventures with Paddington is a curriculum-linked learning sequence for pupils aged 6-12, which uses the new film to develop practical skills, reflect on facing new experiences, and enhance their understanding of our world.

As part of the resource, we ran an 'Everyday Adventures' competition, which asked young people to write about and draw what they would do if they could take Paddington out in their local area for the day.

Congratulations to Luca, aged 10, from Carrowdore Primary School in County Down, Northern Ireland, who described taking Paddington on a day out to see the Marble Arch Caves, a series of natural limestone caves near his home, complete with a café to satisfy the hungry bear's culinary needs! Luca also drew a charming picture of he and Paddington exploring the caves - with headlamps on to avoid the bats!

Luca's entry was selected as the winner from over 500 entries, and he has won a private screening of Paddington in Peru for his class, as well as 30 Paddington goody bags for his whole class and a bundle of classic Paddington books from HarperCollins Children's Books for Luca's whole school to enjoy.

Check out Luca's delightful Everyday Adventure with Paddington below.

Adventures with Paddington is a free learning sequence that'll make eager explorers of learners aged 6-12, making links to English/literacy, maths, geography and science. Through a series of travel and exploration-themed activities, pupils will enhance their understanding of our world and engage pupils in helping Paddington prepare to visit Aunt Lucy in Peru

Adventures with Paddington offers learners a chance to develop essential practical skills, and a space to reflect on embracing new challenges, environments and experiences.
