Inside Out 2: Changes and Challenges, created in collaboration with Disney, is a curriculum-linked resource for KS1 and KS2 (or equivalent) which draws on the characters and themes in Disney and Pixar's Inside Out 2, only in cinemas June 14.

Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust aren't sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up, and it looks like she's not alone. Join familiar characters from the award-winning first film in this coming-of-age adventure sequel as they learn to navigate change and make room for new emotions!

Our new educational resource takes inspiration from the film to provide teachers with a new yet recognisable stimulus to support learning outcomes across PSHE, RSE, science and English.

This resource includes:

Character Analysis activity sheet

Watch a clip from Inside Out 2 to introduce your class to the film. Learners can use our activity sheet to identify the Emotions.

Wheel of Emotions digital spinner

Spin the wheel to re-visit the Emotions from the film clip and learn more about their characteristics. Use this digital learning tool to help students develop a wider vocabulary to articulate feelings and emotions more accurately.

Riley's Reactions activity sheet

Learners will plot Riley's feelings during different scenarios on an Axis of Emotions. They will consider which emotions might be in control at different times, reflecting upon how feelings change according to different situations and what we can learn about ourselves from this.

Week of Wellness home learning sheet

Students can try out and rate different mindfulness activities with this week-long home learning task which aims to equip them with strategies for dealing with a range of emotions.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.

What our educators say

"As an alternative provision for learners who are not in mainstream school we use your resources in a slightly different way as they generally find it hard to watch a full length film. They are, however fantastic. "
