The screen industries offer a huge range of roles in film, TV, gaming, animation, VFX and more for young people to aspire to. At Into Film, we're proud to offer free resources, events and training opportunities to help educators and careers advisers/leaders, including members of the Career Development Institute (CDI), support young people with making informed decisions about careers in the screen industries.
We understand that it can be difficult keeping up with the latest up-to-date careers information and resources. That's why we're bringing you a monthly round-up of the best screen careers events and resources that you don't want to miss. Through our careers offer you can strengthen your careers programmes and develop your own understanding of this exciting industry (plus, for those in England, we can help you hit those Gatsby benchmarks!). This month includes bookings for the 2024 Into Film Festival going live, as well as virtual work experience opportunities.
If you're new to Into Film, all you need to access our free resources is an Into Film Account. Don't worry, it's completely free and only takes a moment to set up. Plus, you'll also gain access to hundreds of free curriculum-linked resources, further training opportunities, and with a Public Video Screening (PVS) Licence, hundreds of free films to stream safely and legally with Into Film+.

Schools and Colleges information session and Q&A
Discover! Creative Careers Week returns this 18-22 November 2024, providing young people aged 11-18 across England with direct encounters with industry professionals, through in-person and online events at workplaces, as well as training and support for teachers, parents, guardians, careers professionals and employers.

Into Film Breakout session: How can we ensure careers in the screen industries are accessible and viable for young people?
With UK film studio space surpassing Hollywood and screen careers activity happening all across the UK, careers advisers and young people are unsurprisingly keen to know more. The screen industries want to engage with the next generation of talent and develop a workforce that reflects the diversity of the UK.
In this breakout session, we will facilitate a discussion on what can be done to ensure that young people understand the breadth of opportunities in the screen industries and have the confidence to explore and pursue careers in screen, with a particular focus on supporting young people facing the greatest disadvantage.

From film screenings and special previews, to Q&As with filmmakers and inspiring careers workshops, the free Into Film Festival is an excellent way to engage young people in the world of film and cinema and offer tantalising insights into potential future careers in the screen industries. We will be running several careers events with industry professionals.

Looking for screen-related experiences for the young people you support? We're partnering with Speakers for Schools to introduce students to a range of hidden industry roles through this virtual three-day experience. Young people will hear from a range of industry special guests and immerse themselves in the many jobs involved in getting a TV or film production from being an idea to being on our screens.
Young people can book their places below. The application deadline is 30 September.
