National Careers Week 2025 (3-8 March) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance. We are proud to play our part during the week, as well as throughout the year, to help support young people interested in pursuing a career in the screen industries. Here's what's in our calendar so far for young people in schools and colleges across the UK. Why not save the dates to help your NCW planning.
The 2025 National Careers Week theme is 'You can'. We believe every young person CAN too and has the potential to succeed and reach their full potential. Into Film is here to support them and those who support them to step into a career in the screen industries this year, and beyond. Our Into Film Ambassador Louise Sedgewick put it well in our Annual Review, saying:
If you can see it, you can be it!

Look out for Into Film at a range of careers events this spring:
We'll be there. Please pop by our stand to say hello. In NGCS Exeter and London, you can join our Careers Lead, Cerys Evans, in the seminar space to hear key messages on how to support young people to navigate careers in the screen industries.
Why not encourage young people to ‘have a go' at filmmaking as a great way to test their interest in a career in the screen industries. Students have until March 4 to create, edit and submit their short films into the biggest film awards event for young people in the UK. Every year Into Film brings together young people, film industry professionals, educators and film stars to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of talent from within the world of film. We encourage entries from all levels of filmmaking including beginners still harnessing their skills - we strive to encourage and nurture the future faces in filmmaking.
There are 11 categories recognising talent in young people aged 5-19, including categories for animated, live-action, and documentary filmmaking. Taking part in the Into Film Awards can lead to a range of benefits including career development, especially for those who win our prestigious Ones to Watch award.
