The Goonies.
It's a movie that I've remember watching and really remember the ending of it.
The Goonies is directed by Richard Donner, the same guy who done the iconic Superman movie.
So without a further-a-do let's get into it:
Characters:
I want to start with Mikey. For the longest time I never get the characters, until now. Mikey is the protagonist of this movie and after re-watching it, he (and the rest of his firends) aren't as one-note as I think they would be. Mikey's goal is to find One-Eye Wille's treasure yeah but its also him not ready to face adult hood and thus why his goal is to find One-Eye Wille's treasure using pirates for the adventure.
On the other hand there's the Fratellies who just want the money and the movie dose a good job of making them a constant threat to our protagonists.
But the real star of the show is Chunk. Chunk carries this movie, he (unironically) literally keeps the plot going now I'm thinking about it: he broke down the door, he finds the hidden drain, he stalls the Fratellies for a period of time and make Sloth to get out of his shell.
The scene where he tells his tragic backstory and to the movie threater that everyone throws up because of him is comedy gold. Also he's bond and chemistry with Sloth is both funny and cute.
I got to say, for an 40 year old film it holds up with the visuals. Not all the time (like the scene where rocks fall down feel like prop sets) but for the majority, they use real props (not actualy skeleton human bodies, mind you Disney theorists).
Final Thoughts: So overall, I don't have much to say but I did enjoy it anyways. It's simply a fun movie.
So that's everything I got to say!
