Home alone is an enjoyable film that you can watch with family at Christmas. It’s a classic Christmas movie that’s suitable for all ages and never gets old.
In this movie we see Kevin McAllister, played by Macaulay Culkin, a mischievous kid who feels largely ignored by his large extended family being left home alone while his family goes on holiday to Paris. He needs to buy the essentials that he needs for himself and while being responsible he was enjoying his time alone at home, then two thieves, Marv and Harry, try to break in and ransack the McAllister’s house which means Kevin needs to protect the house by making traps.
This movie has very realistic special effects which adds to the comedy aspect of the film. The music also adds to it and contrasts with the scenes and emotions of the film which helps the person watching feel the emotions from the scene.
A bad thing about this movie is that in my opinion, I think it’s too rushed like, for example: when Marv and Harry were in the house going through all the traps they were too close together and I personally think they should of added some clips of the family throughout to see what they were doing.
The actors were all great for their roles and they give you the feeling they should give you, for example: with Buzz, he was supposed to be the mean older brother of Kevin and he portrays that very well.
In a short summary this movie is a good choice to watch with your family at Christmas to have a good laugh together, it has a good comedy aspect and the music is good to enduce your feelings, this movie is a 5/5 and it’s a classic! I would 100% recommend watching this!
