This film is very nice in my opinion as the animation was very well put together and therefore made the film run very smoothly. The plot wasn’t as good as the first one by far, but it still made a great story in general. The advertising for the new film was great, considering the collaborations with massive companies such as McDonalds. Of course, this film being more modern and all, the graphics side of things were definitely better than the first Frozen and lots of other Disney films. The characters from the first film showed lots of character progression as any person would do, and while some portrayed deeper emotional loss and less resilience, some were stronger, leading the characters to have backstories unknown in the first film. This film definitely had more of a ‘powerful feminine’ theme to it, which is really nice as in previous Disney movies the main female role is often seen as ‘the damsel in distress’. This gives the viewer the nice message that anyone can achieve anything as long as they work hard for it; and, this being a kids film, inspires children to become and achieve more in themselves. The voice acting shows true, raw emotion, something fairly hard to get in an animated film. The chosen voices for the songs were incredible, some of the notes were mesmerising. This being said, I give this movie a ⅘ as there is definitely room for improvement within lyrics and the script in general, however the message it gets across is the same. I recommend this movie for children in general, as it is well-written in terms of impact. This movie could also be a great watch for younger parents, as the themes of resilience and rescue are useful for raising children. In general, this film can be enjoyed by any age group, these are just my personal recommendations.
