The Forbidden Kingdom (2008)

Welcome film club members to another film that was chosen by are actors and actress list. So on Wednesday the 12th of June 2024 we watched a film with a actor whose name is Collin Chou who is from the last film we watched which was The Matrix Revolutions. The film that was chosen is called The Forbidden Kingdom which is about a young man whose name is Janson Tripitikas and who lives in South Boston and who is very clumsy but really loves martial arts and movies about Kung Fu and the Chinese culture. One day in the pawn shop of Old Hop's Jason finds a old ancient staff that is when he finds out that many years ago a man left the staff with his grandfather who never returned it to its owner who happens to be the Monkey king who is played by Jet Li. So now it is up to Jason and a drunken immortal whose name is Lu Yan who is played by Jackie Chan who must go on a dangerous quest to give the staff back and save the Monkey King from imprisonment. Can Jason achieve his quest so he can get back home or will Jade Warlord keep the Monkey King as a statue for another thousand years or more. This review has been given a four star rating which means we liked it because we found the history about the Chinese culture interesting we also always enjoy the bloopers at the end of every Jackie Chan film as they make us laugh when Jackie is trying to do is own stunts and when he does his own Kung Fu Moves.
