Look I think most people nowadays know that Braveheart is not a historically accurate film, it has great battle scenes, good music, good to great acting and good cinematography but the inaccuracies from the blue face paint to the battle of Stirling bridge taking place in a field to William Wallace being a poor farmer instead of being a Scottish noble and so on and so on are a main form of criticism towards the film and are completely valid but to me I think you can still enjoy it with acknowledging that it is more a Hollywood dramatization than a historically accurate film.
