Hello and Welcome to Samuel L. Jackson's second film which is called Kong: Skull Island which we watched on Wednesday the 18th of October 2023. This is also the second film that he has played a bad character. Here is what the film is about in the year of 1944, two World War II fighter pilots one being American whose name is Hank Marlow and other pilot being Japanese whose name is Gunpei Ikari. these pilots both parachute onto an island in the South Pacific after a dogfight and engage in close combat, the fight is interrupted by a giant ape known as Kong. It is now the year of 1973 where the Vietnam War ends, and Bill Randa and his partner Houston Brooks from the Monarch organization succeed to get the financing for an expedition to the recently discovered Skull Island from Senator Willis. He then hires the former Captain James Conrad to guide the expedition; who are a group of soldiers under the command of Colonel Preston Packard; and the awarded journalist and photographer Mason Weaver. On the arrival, the helicopters need to cross a storm and as soon they drop bombs on the forest to map out the seismology of the island they are attacked by a huge gorilla called Kong who destroys the helicopters and kills part of the crew and scatter the rest through the island. The group commanded by Conrad meets Hank Marlow, a survivor from the World War II that lives with a tribe of natives. He explains that Kong protects the island and the natives from underground monsters shall not be killed. But Colonel Packard is insane and seeks revenge for his men that died. While on the island they also discover that one thing will become quite clear: apparently, we humans, never owned this blue planet. This review has been given a four star rating which means I like it because even know I am a human that lives on this planet I do not agree with the way us humans treat this world also I was on Kong's side because he was only trying to protect his home but one human wanted to destroy him which was Colonel Packard. My favourite character was Captain James who was played by Tom Hiddleston because after he found out the history of King Kong he wanted to help save him from the Colonel who would not believe that Kong was not the monster on the Island but it was other monsters that killed his men. Thank you for reading my review on Kong: Skull Island, my next actor that I chose is Will Smith and his first film that I have chose to write a review on is called i,Robot.
