The Karate Kid (2010)

I am sorry for this review begin so late but because my main computer is a windows 7 I had to let in rest for a whole week. So on Saturday which was the 22nd of April 2023 me and the family watched the remake of the film which is called The Karate Kid staring Jaden Smith{Will Smith's son} the student and the teacher is Jackie Chan. This is what the remake is about In search of a fresh start, the widowed mother, Sherry Parker, and her 12-year-old son, Dre, move from Detroit to Beijing in China, after a job transfer. Before the obvious language barrier and the daunting task of fitting in to a new home, foreign culture and a new school. Dre is indeed a friendless stranger in a strange land, and to make matters worse, he meets a young boy whose name is Cheng who is the school's fearsome bully. As Dre tries to impress the young violinist, whose name is Meiying, he learns the hard way that his pitiful karate is no match against Cheng's excellent but vicious Kung Fu; something that the building's janitor and inconspicuous Kung Fu master, Mr Han, is eager to remedy. Suddenly, an upcoming tournament will give a new meaning in Dre's life, however, will he finally make a stand against his powerful opponent?. This review has been given five stars which means I loved it because the remake shows a lot of racism between Dre Parker and Cheng all because Dre Parker spoke to Meiying and begin a different skin colour. I do not agree with racism because I feel that just because us humans have different skin colour does not mean we are different than one another and that every person should be allowed their place on this planet. As I have said at the beginning I am sorry for these film reviews to go though so late.
