Elvis (2022)

On Saturday which was the 4th of March 2023 I watched a film about a famous actor/singer's life also known as the King of Rock and Roll his name is Elvis Aaron Presley who was played Austin Butler who has also been in a TV show called The Shannara Chronicles where he played the character whose name was Wil Ohmsford. The Elvis is all about where we explore the life and music of Elvis Presley who is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker played by Tom Hanks. The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis's life, Priscilla Presley played by Olivia DeJonge. This film has been given four stars which means I liked it but not loved it because I felt sorry for Elvis the way he was treated by his manager no wonder he lost everything in his life and finally died at the age of 42 on the 16th of August 1977 where he sang his last song which was called Unchained Melody at his last show on the piano. This film was different to other films I have watched and I needed a change because the films I usually watch is Disney, action, or musicals and finally comedy. Finally I would recommend this film to other film club members but only watch this if you are over the age of 12.
