Hello again film club members and welcome to one of my favourite films that i chose for today which is the 13th of December 2022 which also means its the thirteen day of advent and the film that I had chose for today was called Splash which has a very young Tom Hanks who has played in the following films like the live action of Pinocchio, The Polar Express and his most famous film was the Toy Story films where he played the voice of sheriff Woody. The film called Splash is all about after a young Alan Bauer who nearly drowned as a child but has memories of being saved by a young mermaid. Years later he manages his family's wholesale fruit and vegetable business and continues his search to find true love. Along with his feelings, Allen must also contend with his womanizing older brother called Freddie, who takes love less seriously than his brother. When he is jilted as an adult and loses his wallet in the surf, the young mermaid tries to return it. They are soulmates who have been meant for each other, but Madison fears how he will react when he finds out she is not human. I absolutely love this film that is why I have gave this review five stars which means I loved it because my favourite character would be Madison who is a mermaid because I felt sorry for her of what happen to her by a man who wanted everyone to believe that mermaids are real and not just legends. My other favourite film that is based on Mermaids is a film called Aquamarine which is about After a vicious storm , half the ocean washes into the beach club swimming pool. Where two teenagers, whose names are Haley and Claire, discover a mermaid in their pool. She tells them that she needs to find love in three days, and they agree to help her because helping a mermaid means you get a wish, and they decide that they can use their wish to try and stop Haley from moving to Australia. Lets get back to the film called Splash so as I said I loved this film and I would watch this again and again I would also definitely recommend both films if you like films about Mermaids than you can decide if you believe in the legends about Mermaids or not.
