Elf (2003)

Elf is a Christmas comedy starring Will Ferrell as the main character. The story is about a boy, named Buddy from an orphanage who crawls into Santa's sack one Christmas eve and ends up being taken to the North Pole where he gets raised by elves. The beginning of the movie shows us how he grows up and becomes too big for his home with the elves. The chairs are too small for him to sit on and his bed is far too tiny. He is terrible at all the jobs as he does not have little delicate fingers like the elves and he ends up breaking most of the toys. The other elves dislike him and this makes him sad. Only his father is kind to him. The movie tells the story of his quest to find his real father after finding out that he is human. My favourite character is Buddy as he is funny and awfully clumsy. My favourite part in the movie is when he goes into the city and everyone thinks he is crazy as all he does is talk about making snowman and eating candy. He takes all the leaflets that people are handing out as he thinks these are presents. I found some parts of the movie annoying such as when he goes back and forth to get the leaflets, as it was a bit repetitive. I would recommend this movie to children aged 7-8 because i think the style of comedy would be suited to this age group. I liked this move. I will never forget it.
