Ghostbusters (1984)

The film is amazing! The characters investigate and capture the creatures of the unknown in the city of New York. Although Dr Peter Venkman (played by Bill Murray) does not at all believe his friends Dr Raymond Stantz (played by Dan Aykroyd) and Dr Egon Spengler (played by Harold Ramis) that his beloved city is being haunted by ghosts, he soon learns he was wrong, so very wrong. Him and his team (soon joined by Dr Winston Zeddmore who is portrayed by Ernie Hudson) try and capture Zuul the gate keeper who possesses Dr Venkman's love Dana Barrett (played by Sigourney Weaver). The only downsides to the film were the racial inequality shown by the fact that there is one main character of colour and he gets fewer lines than his co-stars and the fact that Dana just has to fall in love at the end, why can't she become independent? Fair warning the CGI in this film is not at the quality of which we see today but bear in mind that this film was made in 1984. I really recommend even if you're not sci-fi fans.
