Oceans eleven is a slick, stylish and utterly self aware heist film, that intentionally imagines cliches, but in the most entertaining way possible.

It has got smooth very surface level acting, that doesn't once emotionally grab you, and a score that fits, but never excels. This is the way with most of the film, as it is an entertaining film, with very little fat, but not much meat either. there is a lot to admire, but not much to engage with, and for what it is i enjoyed it but i do not think i will return to it or contemplate its complexity everrrrrrr.
