Rio (2011)

On Wednesday 15th July 2020 I watched another film on Sky cinema family it was called Rio. I have seen the second film before and wrote a film review. Rio is all about Rio de Janeiro in Brazil a baby macaw who gets the name Blu, is captured by dealers and smuggled to the USA. While driving through Moose Lake, Minnesota, the truck that is transporting Blu accidentally drops on the road. A girl called Linda, finds the bird and raises him with love. Fifteen years have past and Blu is a domesticated and a intelligent bird that does not fly and lives a comfortable life as a pet and friend to Linda who owns a bookshop. Suddenly out of the blue, a clumsy Brazilian ornithologist called Tulio, visits Linda and explains that Blu is the last male of his species, and he has a female called Jewel in Rio de Janeiro. He invites Linda to bring Blu to meet the girl macaw so that he and Jewel which is her name can save their species by becoming a love match couple. So Linda agrees and travels with Blu and Tulio to Rio de Janeiro and they leave Blu and Jewel in a large cage in the institute where Tulio works to see if they will get together and fall in love. While they are having dinner, a child smuggler breaks into the institute and steal Blu and Jewel to take them to his boss so that they can be sold for a lot of money because they are the last two of their species. Linda and Tulio look everywhere for Blu, who is chained to Jewel. Will Linda and Tulio save Blu and his new girlfriend before they are taken away by a airplane or will they live happily ever after in Rio as a couple and will Linda and Tulio become a love match and stay with Blu by opening up a nature reserve or will Linda go back home with Blu and live their lives like before this all happened. My favourite character would Pedro who is voiced by the singer Will.i.am because he tried to make the right Mood but his singing was not romantic so the yellow bird called Nico who is voiced by the American singer Jamie Foxx who made the love mood more romantic. I have now seen both films and wrote film reviews on both.
