What an amazing sequel. Maleficent : Mistress Of Evil, follows the story of Maleficent. It's a truly heartbreaking and emotional roller coaster, with lows and highs. It completes the story and Prince Phillip has proposed to Aurora. Aurora happily agrees as she knows it will unite The Moors and Ulstead together. To celebrate the proposal, Phillip's parents, the King and Queen, have invited Aurora and her godmother ,Maleficent, to the palace. But over the years, Maleficent had earned quite a reputation and title for herself: ''The Beast Who Cursed A Child''. After a few conversations, Aurora finally persuaded Maleficent to come. But what will happen at the castle..? Is it a trap..?
Overall, the story is great. The trailer, in my opinion, is really suspense and fits the film perfectly. It really pulls you in and makes you want to watch the film. I'd definitely recommend it. And probably rate is as a 6+. My sister is 7 and she'd probably be a bit scared in some scenes so I'd also recommend young children watch with adults.
Angelina Jolie played an excellent role as Maleficent. Also I don't know how they made her wings. But it must have been hard. I also loved Aurora's dresses. They were such a pastel colour and amazingly designed. I would love to have one of my own.
My favourite characters, however, are Diaval and Lickspittle. Played by Sam Riley and Warwick Davis. I see them as such under rated characters. Diaval is Maleficent's sidekick. He is a black bird, who can transform a human and many of animals with the help of Maleficent. I see him as very determined and lovable.
Lickspittle is a Moor creature, however he is kept in a room under the castle working for the queen. He experiments on other Moor creatures to find a way to destroy them. He is driven by fear. The Queen promises if he does she will grant him his freedom. He has such a interesting character. His backstory is heavy fascinating and I would like to know more. You don't really know much about him til the end.
