Minions is a spinoff prequel to the Despicable Me films. It tells the original story of the Minions and how they eventually end up working for Gru. The main plot of the film is how Bob, Stuart and Kevin leave the main tribe of Minions and go on a quest, in search of a new master. They initially end up working for the very powerful Scarlet Overkill, who wants to steal the Queen of Englands crown and take the throne for herself. It doesn't quite happen the way she plans and the Minions end up having many misadventures.
I did enjoy this film as it was interesting to see the background story of the Minions, but I prefer the original Despicable Me films with Gru and his three daughters.
I would recommend this film to anyone who likes the Despicable Me franchise and to a younger audience.
