The world’s end is a movie directed by Edgar Wright and starring actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as the two main characters. Other actors include people like Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman and Eddie Marsan.
It starts off with the main character – Gary King – explaining how great his life was when he was 19 and just leaving school. He wants to get the gang of his friends back together to finish the ‘unfinished business’ of the Golden Mile.
He is 46 years old now and all of his friends have moved on from all those years ago except him. He meets up with his old school peers who have all grown up and have serious jobs, unlike Gary such as: An estate agent, and construction manager and and office worker. But his best friend, Andy Knightly, has completely moved on from Gary after the incident.
He meets up with Andy and they discuss him coming with him on the Golden Mile. Andy is not amused and is not willing to go. Gary gives him the money he owed him and tells him something that could change his mind.
They all meet up in London - even Andy – and they get to business. His friends are surprised that he has the same car from when he was 19. Proving he has not grown up at all. They travel to their home town and discover a surprise in the pubs that no one was expecting.
This movie is definitely a laugh and worth a watch. The way the story twists and changes so fast is also astonishing. The acting if very persuasive at making you think the movie is really happening and the way they react with the CGI is also incredible.
All in all, I would recommend this movie to people who like a comedy but want something new instead of the same old film in the comedy genre. I would say this movie is a 9/10. I like it a lot and would watch it again, and again and again.
