Parasite is a must watch film in 2020 in my opinion and I would give it a 10 out of 10 because of how amazing the Director, Bong Joon-Ho used visual language to help construct the world that surrounds the visual Architecture in Parasite. The movie does really well on portraying lower-class and upper-class by the environment they live in and what they do throughout the movie.
The cinematography helps convey the class through vertical compositions, rain, stairs. The camera work in the beginning shows a tilting shot of the lower-class looking up at the window onto the street which shows poverty , and then showing a panning shot of the upper-class looking at a massive window of a large outdoor grass area. Through the stairs in the movie it shows the upper-class family walks up the stairs which helps portrays wealth and the lower-class walking down the stairs in the rain which portrays poverty.
In the two hours of runtime they is a single moment in the movie that really exemplifies Bong Joon-Ho genius. Like any ordinary movie there is a Beginning, Middle and an End but it doesn't follow how a normal movie would look like but instead it kind of shows two movie that are joined into one, I really enjoy how there are 3 moments of tension that builds overtime, and then on the third beat it explodes, the film did not really start for me until 50 min when the real action and drama actually took place.
I would defiantly watch this movie again and would hundred percent want to see Parasite 2 if they is one in the future and would certainly recommend everyone to watch this if you haven't already because this is a truly a master piece film.
