The plot of this movie involves a boy called Alex who finds a sword in a stone. He finds the sword Ex Calibre by accident when he is running away from the school bullies. He then has to team up with his best friend, the school bullies and the Wizard Merlin to stop the evil dragon witch Morgana and save the United Kingdom. It is like the story of the Sword in the Stone set in modern day 2019. It’s a live action movie.
This movie was so good because the plot is amazing and the characters are relatable and the story is incredible. Some of the characters feel threatening like the dead fire knights and it really emotive. In fact it made me cry at one time. The Computer Graphic Imagery (CGI) was amazing and it felt so real.
I actually don’t have any negatives to write about this movie.
The landscape is amazing the scenery is beautiful and the dead knights are intimidating. It also has a Harry Potter and Star Wars reference in it.
I think people who like movies like the sword and the stone would like this movie. I think adolescents and teens would particularly like it and it would appeal to anyone over 10 years old. It wouldn’t really appeal to very young children because it is too graphic.
The Kid Who Would be King is now one of my all time favourite movies.
