Hidden Figures (2016)

Hidden Figures is a very strong movie that talks about lots of problems from the 1960's. You realize just how racist the past was and how munch we have changed in 60 years. I found it unbelievable that there where 3 women who had worked so hard to get some one to orbit the earth and aren't credited or remembered, just because of how bad the past was for them! They all faced challenges that held them back from reaching their full potential in their carriers, just because of their skin colour and gender. Even though the law was against them they didn't let that hold them back and at points had to break the law to overcome them and get things to work for them. There was a part in the movie where they had Katherine running across the NASA campus to the west wing from the east wing to go to the bathroom, they also put in a scene where a white man ran the same distance with the same music to go get Katherine. I found this a powerful message because it shows him running after her, not the other way around. All three characters were resilient and fought there problems head on with no hesitation. Even though the whole movie is empowering, I think the most important feature about the movie is the fact that it was true, everything that happened in the movie happened to the three people it was about. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. In all I thought it was an extremely strong movie and I wouldn't change a thing!
