This film is a very sad film. The main characters are Freak and Max Kane.Max Kane is an overweight child that has reading problems. His Mum died but his Dad was the one that killed his Mum.He shot her.Max at the start, lived with his Grandparents even though his Dad is still alive.Suddenly he gets new neighbours and his new next-door neighbour is similar to him, in that he lost one of his parents too.One night Max could not sleep so he went outside and he saw his next-door neighbour Freak make a clockwork bird.He got to see it fly but he didn't have the best view because he had to hide. The next day when Max went to school basketball Freak came by.Max didn't have the basketball the, doghouse boys did[The bullies ].By the way Freak has crutches because he has body issues. So as he was walking by they threw the ball and hit him.The bullies blamed it on Max so Freak did not like him. After school Max had his reading tutor but today was different. He had a random one.Guess who it was ,it was.Freak! This did not start well, but it ended well because it was the start of their relationship. They went on lots of missions together.Real missions like stopping thieves or surviving.
One cold, winter, snowy night Max woke up and his window was opening and closing. Then he looked around his room and he saw the one and only killer Kane, his dad was back and it was Christmas eve.He kidnapped Max and drove off, but Freak had seen all that had happened and had tracked killer Kane. When killer Kane got back to his flat he tied Max to a chair.did Freak saved him?……There are lots more happy and sad bits in this film but I don't want to spoil it so you will have to see it yourself I highly recommend it for 8+.
