Doctor Strange (2016)

I really loved this film. Especially since the actor for Doctor Strange is Benedict Cumberbatch. This film lightly explores morals, beliefs and the changes that people can make to their personalities. However, I thought that the 'Ancient one' givinnig advice in riddles was a bit cliche. Also, Marvel's special affects were up to their usual standards, but shown off far more in this film. The one downside to this though, would be that in one of the fight scenes, it was hard to follow what the actors were doing as the special affects were very disorienting. However, if this was done on purpose, it was job well done. I also like the little spoilers towards the beginning of the film; when Doctor. Strange broke his watch and his watch, which represents and shows time, stopped working. This may have been a small hint at what was to come during the rest of the film. As well as that, my favourite scene is when he puts his broken watch back on; this shows a contrast in the film, the watch has stayed the same, but a lot, like himself, has changed making the watch even more symbolic. Finally, another moment in the movie to be appreciated is when he puts on his cloak and turns the collar up. This is a habit that Sherlock does (Sherlock and Doctor. Strange are played by the same actor) I just thought this was funny and maybe a small reference. Overall, the film did a great job at entertaining the audience, like most Marvel movies do, and I hope to see another Doctor. Strange film in the future.
