A young boy lives in an ordinary town, goes to an ordinary school, but what he doesn't know is he is the son of POSEIDON. He has to go through many difficulties so save his mother, his friends and the ... world! I really enjoyed this film. This film had a great easy to read plot which was entertaining throughout this film. The story-line and moral was very imaginative and an amazing impact on my understanding on Greek Mythology. This was one of the best films I have ever watched! I liked the fact that the characters personalities really was like their mothers and fathers (the Greek gods) , it was clear the whole way through the film making it even more intriguing. On the other hand the only part I didn't enjoy was the underworld as it looked horrendous - which ,as you might of imagined, sounds horrible because it is. My favourite character was Grover as he gave up his chance to go back to the normal world for Percy's mother and was quite a idiosyncratic person. I didn't like Hades very much as he was deceitful, cunning and merciless. He captured Percy's mother and his other half is quite terrifying. Another person I didn't like was medusa as she was execrable and looked like a weirdo, however her idea of disguising a gardening centre as her lair was ingenious. The information this film gave off was extremely helpful for when I study Greek Mythology.
In conclusion I would watch this film again but rate for above 7's
