Paul is an amazing science fiction movie that doesn’t stick to the normal human’s vs aliens style of film, as it is about 2 nerds that find an alien named Paul. The main characters (Clive Gollings, Graeme Wily and Ruth Buggs) are surprised by how normal Paul is in some parts of life and strange in others like when Paul asks if anyone wants a bagel which is normal, then he looks in the fridge and sees marmite and puts it on his bagel which is disgusting. This film is funny because it has jokes about PROBING!!! one of the funniest ones is when the main protagonists are stopped by the agents that are hunting them down and Paul just opens the door, sticks his finger out and shouts “ITS PROBING TIME!!!!” and both agents faint. This film really reminds me of E.T. because .it is about 2 man-childs that find an alien that they help get home, and because they ask Paul if he wants to phone home. When the nerds first meet Paul after comic con there is a joke that Paul has a blaster because Clive faints and pees himself. Another funny moment is when the group accidentally hits a bird and Paul manages to resurrect it, just so he could eat it. Over all I loved this film because it has everything; nerds, aliens, comic con and even marmite (still disgusting) but seriously this film is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone who loves sci-fi or even just comedy’s.
