PLOT: After a deadly train crash causes everyone on the train to die except a single person who survives and comes out without any bruises or scratches, David Dunn is left wondering and finding out about why this is, on his gloomy heart-breaking journey as well as being harassed by Ellijah who thinks he has a theory for this peculiar situation. It’s a soul destroying story that will grip your heart and sure send a fear traveling down your spine as well as a tear to the eye as questions flood you and the truth unravels throughout the story. Ok, we all know Bruce Willis (David Dunn) and M. Night Shyamalan’s amazing films which usually come under the genre of fantasy and action and normally consist of a young character growing throughout the film. The sound and light effects were really good: long distance shots, short distance clips, speed variations. In other words the whole making of the film will really get you gripped and convince you that you are part of this extraordinary plot! During the film every time a character has a conversation with another character the filming purposely sort of doesn’t let you see the characters lips moving-only their shadows-which is quite clever as it brings a spooky, dark atmosphere to the film. I’d say the whole story and plot could sometimes be quite deep or complicated or sometimes scary for younger children therefore Id agree with the film being a 12. The film generally falls under the mystery and action category. Ok, the characters. The main character is David Dunn (Bruce Willis) because he is the person who survives the train crash. In my opinion id class Elijah as a main character as well as he plays a big part in David’s life in the movie. David’s famil7y appears quite a lot but apart from them there are a lot of other characters who just appear once or twice but every scene has an importance in the film. Lastly I’m going to talk about the end and the start. Although the start is dramatic and automatically grips me and I’m sure everyone else who watches it, I was a bit disappointed in the ending because it didn’t really tie all the loose ends; it was almost like they didn’t have time to finish. Overall-despite my complaints- it was an AMAZING film. You have to watch it. It has an extremely hooking plot that will stir all your emotions. It is a film not to miss. I hope this review has helped you learn a little bit about the film but you won’t need to know any more information than this from anyone because you’re going to watch it right now!
