This (for want of a better word) 'collage', what with its madcap acting, vague scripting and ridiculous nature, contains all the necessary components to make a ludicrous, tremendous film. The story flickers from David Niven's suave lifestyle as a member of the aristocracy to baccarat expert Peter Sellers' infatuations with Ursula Andress. The script is rife with jokes and jollity (essential for any spoof film) and the garishness of the entire project is evident throughout the entire film. However I really like the tiny cameos throughout the entire film. I recognised Derek Nimmo, Burt Kwouk and Ronnie Corbett in it. For someone who likes old or well-renowned actors and actresses, this film will be a joyful mess of mayhem and merriment.
Print this reviewThe beginning of the long-running franchise sees Bond in the Bahamas, trying to stop the mysterious Dr. No from sabotaging the US space programme.
