The movie I watched was Goodnight Mister Tom. I was not sure about this film when the teacher asked us but when we started watching it,it was fun. It is a serious film of course because it is about World War II.
There are 2 main characters Tom and Ben. It started with Mister Tom who was really furious and petrifying but then turned into a good gentle man. It is mainly about a boy called Ben who was an evacuee during World War. Everybody looked anxious in the movie but it was Ben who probably got scared of everything(almost).
The people were in war with...Germany. The first time you could see a Germany plane was when Ben,Tom and his friends were fishing. His mum was probably the most strict because she was hitting Ben on the back with a belt. OWWW! Also throwing him in a cupboard was painful to watch. I felt sad for Ben after watching those horrible scenes.
The most interesting bit was when Tom let him (Ben) come to his house because he was usually angry and unfriendly. Its a great film even though its from 1998 and that was 17 years ago (quite a long time ago) and also involves World War.The reason I don't give it 4 stars is because its about war and its not nice seeing people die.
If you have read my review I urge you to watch it in your spare time. Its just awesome just awesome. I recommend everyone to watch this great film and watch every bit (don't blink).
