American Hustle (2013)

Recently David O. Russell has came out with some amazing films such as The Fighter, the absolutely amazing Silver Linings Playbook and now with American Hustle. American Hustle as you may have probably have guessed by the title is about hustling. But the thing is American Hustle focuses on its characters than hustling, not to say that that is bad thing because the film's characters are amazing and brilliantly portrayed by a fantastic cast such as Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and my favorite actor from the movie Jennifer Lawrence. The writing in this film is also amazing with plenty of laughs and amazing dialogue. The film takes place in the 1970's so the film has made sure it has no anachronisms with the all cast and extras wearing the correct clothing, talking in the correct way, correct technology being used and even logos of the studios involved with the film seen at the start of the film. Overall American Hustle is an astonishing film with one of the best ensemble of a cast I've ever saw in a film and if David O. Russell continues to create films as good as American Hustle he will without a doubt earn a spot on my favorite directors list
