Run Lola Run (1998)

The movie, ‘Run Lola, Run!’, is based around time, second chances and actions and consequences. The movie starts off with the protagonist, Lola, getting a phone call off her boyfriend, Manny, who has seemingly lost 100,000 marks he was meant to be delivering to a gang leader. He calls Lola, hoping to get her help in rounding up another 100,000 marks. The film takes the audience through 3 different versions of what happens after the phone call, based on the decisions each character makes. I found that the movie was quite boring, as we have to watch some of the same events over again. Also, the language barrier lowered my interest. The acting for the film wasn’t the worst, however is definitely not the best. I felt that it was very cheesy and quite over the top. Also, the film mostly shows Lola running, with the only interaction really being between her and her dad and Manny. Although the titles says 'Run Lola Run', the running sequences did bore me.
