An excellent portrayal of John Edgar Hoover's life by Clint Eastwood and a stunning performance by Leonardo DiCaprio; perhaps even his most moving yet. Eastwood excelled in the charcacterisation of J. Edgar, portraying him as a ruthless yet emotionally vulnerable FBI agent. Not only is the make-up/costume in this film exceptional in allowing DiCaprio to show Edgar in many different stages of his life, but the soundtrack itself is flawless and adds a great deal of emotion to the production.
