Gnomeo and Juliet was one of those films that manage to turn a tragedy into a comedy. Not many films do that, especialy one with garden Gnomes. The story is based on a real shakespear tragedy play exept shakespear had no lawn mowers, smashing, flamingoes and definatly no gnomes. The entire thing is about two rival neighbours (humans) who hate eachother allot. However their not the only ones... their china gnomes are also rival enimies with each other. But not one single gnome has ever gone into their enemies garden... untill now. When Gnomeo (James McAvoy) tresspasses into the other gnomes garden, he has to make a break for it. But on his way running for his life, he sees a mysterious figure in in the shadows. This is Juliet (Emily Blunt) and they meet secretly. But can they keep this a secret? And how long before someone finds out? However I didn't really enjoy this film as much as I thought because..... it was too much of shakespear and not enough comedy for the age group it is set for. There was some entertanment, some love and lot's of Gnomeo and Juliet. This film was slightly action packed and funny but not really up too my standards maybey someone younger will apretciate it more than I did. I give this film 3 stars * * *
